If you've followed me for a while, you'll know I've spoken about self compassion and how this can help us with anxiety, fear and it helps us build our confidence and self esteem. I mentioned once that giving yourself a hug has immense benefit. Well, today, I'll be sharing another tip that through recent research, has shown to make you feel good without the need for external validation.

A recent study has shown that when we feel sad, insecure or lonely, that simply putting one hand over our heart and holding it there for 20 seconds stimulates the same internal response as if we were getting a hug from someone else.
